Business... As A Christian
I have been working on bringing God more into my business. I have been doing this with clients and have had many Christians on my Business Success & Coffee podcast. God has guided me on the next step and I have created a new podcast series on the topic of handling business actions and decisions, as a Christian. Many Christian business owners & entrepreneurs face the daily challenge of making decisions in business that are in conflict with our faith and the Scriptures. It may be the external environment, our team, our suppliers or our customers that put us at odds with our Christian journey. How do we handle these instances, it is not easy. Then we have the peer pressure, the potential stigma of being labelled ’crazy’ for our beliefs, words and actions. People see us different in the world but in business many of us struggle with this and I know that in my construction business I did not declare my faith & spent way too many years on the wrong side of handling business... as a Christian. In this podcast series I share my own experiences & my guests give insights into their own journeys too. We do not have the answers but pray that God will reveal something to you from our conversations that will enable to improve your very own experience with Jesus and in doing ’Business... As A Christian’! This podcast is for Christians wherever they are on their journey in faith. They may not even be Christians yet, but just want to find a better way of doing business. Wherever you are or someone you know is, this podcast is aimed at a level that can reach out to everyone in some way. I am not a theologian but just a business owner who has given my life to God and follow Jesus and face the challenge every day of how I carry out my business as Jesus would? I am also still looking for guests for this podcast and would like to invite you to join me in a recording and share some insights, lessons or just your own experience. To schedule a slot or find out more of the format please visit https://go.oncehub.com/BusinessAsAChristianPodcast Thank you for reading this and God Bless. Please subscribe to this podcast & share it with as many people as you can.

Most people find it hard to discern when God is speaking to them. However, the closer you get to Him, the clearer it gets.
Great things happen when we finally discover the true definition of who we were created to be.
Not all storms come from the enemy. Sometimes God allows storms in our life to test our faith or divinely speak to us.
You can go out and start a business in the secular world and bring all the godly changes into that space. You never know the seeds you plant and what God has planned for those people.
Obedience is always greater than sacrifice.
No matter how small a situation is, always take it to God in prayer.

Faith, Respect, and Diversity: Wisdom for Christian Business Owners from Dwight Grant
Wednesday Jul 05, 2023
Wednesday Jul 05, 2023
As a Christian business owner, upholding your faith while embracing and respecting the diversity of those you serve is essential. It is not your role to judge or discriminate against individuals based on their identity. Instead, we strive to create an environment that embraces all individuals with dignity, just as Jesus did during his ministry. By creating a welcoming and inclusive space, we can share the love of Jesus with all who attend our programs or get served in our businesses. In this conversation with Dwight, we will learn how he has successfully navigated these challenges and gain valuable tips to implement in our own businesses.
Dwight Grant is the owner of Forward One Business Coaching and has over 30 years of business experience helping small business owners, nonprofits, and start-ups achieve their objectives. He started out as a warehouse worker to finish his degree in outdoor leadership, but upon encouragement from a boss, he went back to school and completed his MBA. This opened up huge opportunities allowing him to gain experience in Human Resources, Finance, Marketing, and Operations/Supply Chain. In addition to implementing hundreds of projects, Dwight helped start a charter school in Colorado Springs and also started and ran Vessels For Honor Rafting Co. for 10 years on the Arkansas River. Dwight enjoys spending time with his family and grandkids and is still a bit of a whitewater fanatic.

Pastors and leaders of all denominations need to recognise that ministry, in many ways, is similar to running a business. As a pastor, you provide valuable guidance in many areas. However, it may struggle if you do not approach ministry with a business mindset. Remember, the goal is to hear, "Well done, good and faithful servant." To achieve this, a shift in perspective might be necessary. Think of yourself as an entrepreneur for God.
This episode with Phil Routly explores why business principles are inseparable from successful ministry. He also discusses the importance of keeping God at the centre of everything you do as an entrepreneur and why your business plan should align with His purpose for your life. Phil is a husband, father, grandfather, pastor, teacher, leader, coach, founder, and Head Coach at Soul Impact, committed to being a discipleship, leadership, and legacy coach.

As a pastor, you are offering leadership in so many areas. The ministry will fail if you don’t see it as a business.
